Barbara is a retired certified public accountant who is now turning to her true love, writing. She has always had a knack for storytelling and remembers thrilling her children with new stories she created every night at bedtime. Barbara lives in Utah with her husband, where they enjoy spending time with their three daughters. She looks forward to writing stories with her youngest daughter, Natalie, for many years to come.
Triangle Town was inspired by the life experiences of Barbara and Natalie. Both experienced situations where they were improperly criticized and judged based on unique differences in their personalities or performance. They were judged based on where they had lived rather than their abilities. They also experienced rejection in communities who were unwilling to change based on old traditions and family legends, even when the change would benefit the community for future generations. These experiences taught them the importance of acceptance, inclusion, and not judging others based on lack of understanding. The lesson of being kind was taught to Barbara by her grandmother, Mattie, who lived and taught school in Blockton, Iowa, formerly known as Mormontown.
